Configuration

Every setting in uloader.ini, with defaults.

The runtime reads uloader.ini from the folder it was loaded from. UnlockedKit writes the file in two places, Binaries\Win64\uloader.ini next to the proxy and Binaries\Win64\UnlockedEditor\uloader.ini next to the runtime, and keeps them in sync. Edit both if you change something by hand.

The file uses standard INI sections. Boolean values are true or false.

Default file

This is what UnlockedKit writes on install:

uloader.ini
[Game]
developer_console=true
enable_cheat_manager=true
load_logic_mods=false

[MCP]
enable_mcp=true

[Debug]
enable_console=false

Keys that are not present use the built-in defaults listed below.

[Game]

KeyDefaultDescription
developer_consoletrueEnable the Unreal developer console so console commands can be typed in game.
enable_cheat_managertrueEnable the engine's CheatManager so built-in commands like Ghost and Slomo work.
load_logic_modstrueLoad Blueprint logic mods. UnlockedKit sets this to false.

[MCP]

KeyDefaultDescription
enable_mcpfalseStart the MCP server on port 3001. UnlockedKit sets this to true because Unlocky needs it.

[Debug]

KeyDefaultDescription
enable_consolefalseOpen a separate console window with runtime logs. Useful when debugging a game that fails to start.

[Scan]

The runtime finds engine internals by scanning the game executable at startup. These keys tune that scan; the defaults work for supported games.

KeyDefaultDescription
pre_scan_delay_seconds0Wait this long before scanning.
scan_timeout_seconds60Give up on a scan after this many seconds.
scan_max_retries3Number of retries after a timeout.
scan_retry_delay_seconds5Delay between retries.
engine_version_major0Override the detected Unreal major version. 0 means auto-detect.
engine_version_minor0Override the detected Unreal minor version. 0 means auto-detect.

[Loader]

KeyDefaultDescription
fallback_polling_timeout_seconds30How long the loader polls for the engine before giving up when the normal startup hook is unavailable.

[Editor]

Settings for the in-game overlay editor.

KeyDefaultDescription
auto_load_on_startupfalseLoad a project automatically when the game starts.
startup_projectdefaultName of the project to load when auto_load_on_startup is enabled.
