Usage data

What UnlockedKit reports, what it never reports, and how to turn it off.

UnlockedKit reports product usage data so activation and drop-off can be measured. Reporting is on by default and can be turned off under Settings → Privacy. Turning it off also discards anything still queued.

What is reported

Events are keyed by a random installation ID, not by an account, because most of the setup happens before anyone signs in. While signed in, the account is attached as well.

Thirteen events exist: app_launched, app_closed, signed_in, signed_out, runtime_installed, runtime_connected, mcp_connected, project_created, script_saved, lua_executed, assistant_used, assistant_blocked, and pricing_opened.

Properties are short scalars only: outcomes, bucketed failure reasons, the Steam app ID a runtime was installed into, and the model tier.

What is never reported

Scripts, prompts, chat content, file paths, project names, and raw error messages are never reported. The ingest endpoint drops any nested value rather than storing it.

Delivery

Events are batched, flushed every 20 seconds, and never block the UI. Anything unsent when the window closes is written to a local queue file and sent on the next launch, so closing the app is never delayed by the network.
