Cloud projects
Keep projects in sync across devices with an Unlocked+ or Unlocked++ account.
Unlocked+ and Unlocked++ accounts can keep projects in the cloud, with 5 GB and 10 GB of storage respectively. Free accounts see the option but cannot enable it.
A cloud project is an ordinary folder on your device that UnlockedKit keeps in sync with the UnlockedEditor backend. The editor, the runtime, and Unlocky work on it exactly as they do on a local project.
Enable it
- Tick Store in the cloud when creating a project, or
- use Upload to cloud on an existing project under Settings → Projects on this device.
Settings → Cloud projects lists every cloud project on the account, shows storage usage, and can download a project onto the current device or delete the cloud copy.
How sync works
Sync is a three-way compare per Lua file between the hash recorded at the last sync, the local file, and the cloud copy.
- Only the side that changed moves.
- A file edited on both sides keeps this device's version.
- An edit always beats a deletion.
A sync runs when a cloud project is opened and about a second and a half after any local change, including edits made by Unlocky.
Limits
- Only
.luafiles up to 4 MiB are synced. - Files whose path contains a segment starting with a dot are ignored.
- Removing a cloud project from UnlockedKit, or deleting its cloud copy, never deletes files from the local folder.
